  1. There is a tree near Cloonfad and it is called the "Iron Tree." Many years ago a man named Hoban was found dead near the tree. A while after that the branches of the tree were overhanging and no one would cut the whole tree. Then an iron was attached to the part of the tree that was falling to the part that was straight and it is therefore called the "Iron Tree."
