An Old Song (continued)
“Twas early in November, there was a wedding spree”
(continued from previous page)Jack Griffin was the alst man in
A nervous looking boy
He said We had a right to get Murphys brake
From the town of sweet Athboy
We would be able to go home
If the match we do not win
We won't forget the day we met.
The sons in sweet Clonfane
Now in ConClusion Clonfane boys I am going to end my song
You know the final match is shortly coming on
I hope ye will have luck that day
And top score ye may gain
To let the Kilbride members see
Theres good men in Clonfane- There is the ruins of an old church in Iiskaroon [?] and people say it was the second church St Patrick built in Ireland. The walls of the church yard can yet be seen and where church was there are bushes growing now.(continues on next page)
