    There were a lot of strange Marriage Customs in Ireland long ago. When a man wanted to marry a girl in olden times he would gather a whole of friends and horses and go to the house and they would take her away unknown. Later if a man wanted to marry a girl he gave the job of making the arrangements in the hands of a matchmaker. The matchmaker generally got paid
