  1. There is a woman in Cloneygown who is said to have a cure for erysipelas. When people are attacked with the disease they go to her and she makes up an ointment for them. This ointment is a greenish paste and she uses potatoes and lard with the herbs,in making it. People who have used this, have been cured readily of the erysipelas and although Mrs Ennis-the woman who has the cure does not charge anything, they generally give her a present.
