  1. Fairy Forts
There is a fairy fort in Abbeville, Lorrha parish, Co. Tipperary. There is an avenue made from the road into Abbeville house. When the avenue was finished, they built their gate piers, and put up the gates. In the morning the gates were found pulled down. They were pulled down every time they were put up. The people knew, that because the avenue was going through the fort the fairies pulled down the gates. The piers are still there to be seen.
