  1. Football has been a favourite game in this locality for many years. A very old man from Derravona named Terry McCabe was very keen on football, and he used to boast of the great footballers of the days of his youth. He used to tell how they defeated the Clones team and other teams. He used to sing a song about one of the teams.
    One of the verses is:
    "Hurrah! my boys, for the sons of Dan;
    They are the boys can strike a plan
    To score a goal; there's none so bold
