“They had no clocks in them times.”
They had no clocks in them times. Only get up when the cock would crow
They used draw the world of of lime that time for the land.
The people used to go do Fermoy with the butter and eggs. Poor women used have to walk that time, and they'd be half way in to down before the day would be in.
They used get 6 pence or seven pence a pound for the butter.
They were hard times then. Potatoes and sour milk three times a day and glad to get it. You'd get no tea then only maybe at Xmas.
