  1. There was a man once lived Kilmore Quay over seventy years ago by the name of John Doyle. When he was eighteen years of age he got married and lived very well for a number of years until he found himself the owner of seven children. The poor man then got it hard enough trying to rear them. One morning he turned up late for work and the boss being in a bad temper told him to go home and never show his nose in the place again.
