Jack put a little of the water in each of the horses ear but he never stirred. "This is not world-end water" says Jack. So the three ravens started off again. They were away for nearly a week and Jack began to think they would never come back any more. At last they came back and had the three bottles full of water. Jack put some of it in the horse's ears, and the moment he did so the horse jumped up, and the poor ravens had to go away hungry.
