    The king's name was Conall Cearnac (or something like that) and they christened the baby Sir William.
    Well, after a time, there was another child there - a son again. They called him Sir Thomas.
    After some time again, there was a third son, and they called him Conall after the father. Conall Óg.
    Well, they was all grown-up at this time. And, faith, although he being the youngest of the family, they hadn't the same gradh-mo-croidhe at all for young Conall that they had for the other two. 'Twas Sir William here and Sir Thomas there - and poor Conall nowhere.
    They said he wasn't like his brothers at all, he was off, and dull and stupid. If they went out walking together with their mother or father (when they were young) he'd turn back and
