    There was a bedlar in Nancy's house and while she was away he gave Seán a pistal loaded with blank bullets in exchange for his dagger. The pedlar promised Seán he would help him to kill the priest.
    He did not mean this,. He only wished to save the priest.
    When the priest arrived the pedlar gave him the dagger. He went into the room. When he was about to anoint Seán he jumped out of the bed and ran
