sprays them. He gets a barrel of water and puts eight pounds of bluestone and wash in gooda into it. Then he stirs it with a stick and puts it on the stalks with a spraying machine He sprays the stalks three or four times. When my father has the potatoes a while set he molds them First he scufles the bottoms of the drills with the scufler Then he molds them with the plough. My father digs the potatoes in October. He puts them in pits and covers them with clay and scraws. He puts a foot thick of clay on them to prevent them from the rain and wind. He brings the clay up to a point and it will slit the rain. He cuts the scraws in the bog. Then he leaves them a while to dry. My father turns the potatoes a few times during the year.
