    and the mother said it was sick and could get no rest night or day for the last few days.
    Just then the man took the tongs pulled out the fire and said, give it to me here until I scorch it in the fire. At that moment it flew out of the cradle and up the chimley with it leaving the image of an old besom (heather broom) after it. Wait said that man till I come in again after a half-hour. Out with him and brought back their own child to the parents.
    He then sat down, and told the whole story of what he saw happening outside the house when returning from his visit. The father and mother were shocked at his story, and were very thankful indeed to have their child back, and the old man was also pleased, as he said, this is only one of
