station asking for the protection of St. Cronan for Balla.

    Manulla
The well at Manulla is believed to be connected directly with St. Patrick. There was a large stone over this well and a serpent underneath to guard the well. St. Patrick we are told killed this serpent. The name of the well is Adam's well. There was a fish in this too. One day a girl went with a pail and unknowingly took home this fish and put it in the pot. The water never boiled.
