- There is a fort in the townland of Rathredmond. Around this fort there are two sod banks one side and a hedge the other side. Under this forst there is a small cave and inside there is a small door leading from one room to another. Outside there is a small door leading into the cave. In the middle of this fort there is a small bush growing and a couple of yards from the bush there is a rough stone table covered with moss. It is said that this fort was built by the Normans.
