- (continued from previous page)another boy went to see the night-line at about the break of day. When he went to the river he went one side and the boy that was with him went the other side and they pulled up the two pegs. If he is lucky he may get an eel on each hook and if he is not lucky he may only get three or four eels. It is dangerous to leave the eels to long in the water on the night-line because if they got plenty of time they would work themselves of the hooks. The droppers should be well able to hold the eels because pike-line is strong and it would be hard to break it.(continues on next page)
