- (continued from previous page)door. The man of the house asked who was there and the priest said the priest and the man said I did not send for you. No matter said the priest let me in. Then the man let him in he asked him had he any holy water in the house and he said that he hadn't, the priest said to him that it would be a wonder if you had. Then the priest shook holy water round the house. He put on his stole and read some prayers out of the prayer book and he brought the devil out before him on the floor. The man was surprised. The priest had a job to drive the devil out of the house. The next Sunday the priest cursed the person who would ever sing that song again.Well that song was never heard or song from that day to this. Told to me by: - Mrs. Martin Ansbro, Dooras, Balla, Co.
