There's a little town in Ireland,
I left it long ago,
It's a charming place called Balla in the Co. of Mayo
It's famed in ancient history.
A part which I'll tell.
It has a great big mystery.
In it's little blessed well.II
It is related that St. Patrick on his journey to the reek,
He stuck his staff into the ground,
And rang his little bell
And when he pulled it up again,
Found the little blessed well.III
When I am returned again,
To the land of youth and trod
I'll offer up a fervent prayer
To the Almighty God
That on the final judgement day
Who's time no one can tell
On his right hand be each and all
Who loved the blessed well. This poem was composed by the late(continues on next page)- Collector
