When "Seán na Sagart" could get no priest's heads he pretended to be ill and sent his sister for a priest to give him the last Sacraments. As soon as the girl left the room Seán lay in bed with a dagger by his side. When the priest got the message he knew that his head was to be taken off, still he would not refuse the call. When the priest went into the room Seán jumped up to take off his head, but the priest fled the room with Seán after him, and across the fields they went until they came to a stream. The priest jumped it but Seán failed. When the priest was safely on the other side Seán threw the knife after him and it stuck in the ground at the priest's heels.
