    potatoes are sown in ridges.
    Every five furrows are ploughed close to each other and this forms a ridge. Then the slits are stuck in the ridges with a spade. Then yard manure is put out on the ridges in little heaps. Afterwards the manure is spread on the ridges. It is afterwards covered with clay. A plough is used for making ridges. Wooden ploughs were used about forty years ago.
    When the stalks begin to appear over the clay the farmer cuts the dikes. Then he gets a shovel and he moulds the potatoes.
    When the stalks are big he sprays them. He buys blue stone and washing soda. He fills a barrel of water
