    The various coins were referred to as follows; The halfpenny was referred to as a "Make". The penny was called a Wing". The sixpence was named a "Tanner" while the shilling was called a "Bob". Threepence was known as the "Kids Eye". A "Quid" was the name given to a pound note. A five pound note was referred to as a "Banker". The following types and kinds of money are gone out of use; a farthing, four penny bit, four shilling piece and a mite.
