in the house. The boys that are not asked to the wedding feast come in the form of straw boys and they come in and dance and ask for drink. They wear their old clothes, and a straw hat, and their faces are black. When a girl is getting married she always puts on powder, and lipstick and paint, and she pencils her eyebrows. Only for the powder and paint some of them would not get married at all on account of their uglyness, but when they get married there is a different tale to tell. Once upon a time a girl got married to a man from Donegal and she had to put on rubber shoes to cover her feet.
