There are not many cobblers living living around here now. There was a man living in Scardiane and he used to make clogs. His name was Patrick Corcoran. He lived about thirty years ago.
When people would wash their feet they wouldn't throw out the water without putting a spit into the water. If there was any person out of the house visiting they wouldn't throw out the water until he would come in. They did that because they would think that the person that would be out would be taken with the fairies.
A disease called Eireach used to come on childrens' feet in summer. They used to cure that disease with cream and new milk. They used to rub the cream and the milk over the [?]
