  1. The old people used to have three makes each day. The lunch was called the "[?]" They had stirabout for breakfast but they worked two hours before this meal. They used to have potatoes and salt for dinner. They had no cups or saucers. They used to eat their stirabout out of sauspans or noggins. There used to be 9 pence for a noggin made by a copper. There was a special wooden spoon to match each noggin The old people used to make a cake out of oat meal and potatoes which was called "caca mūta". They used to make a cake out of oat meal alone which was called paddy oaten
