    Thomas McHugh was a great walker. He often walked 12 miles in 1 hour without stopping. He was from Gortduff Hollymount Claremorris.
    John Culkin, Culkin Hill, Tuam mows 15 acres of meadow in 1 hour without stopping.
    Francis Cummins, Frenchgrove, Hollymount is a noted dancer. He can dance every step that is possible.
    John Hennelly Seefin, Co. Mayo won £100 for being a good singer. He is a wonderful story teller as well.
