- There are three forges in this district. One of them is situated near our village. It is called Graham's forge. Two men work in it. Their father, and grandfather, were smiths also. They were good at making fancy gates, and other things.
The forge is a small stone building. The roof of it is thatched. There is one small window in it. This is made from timber. The door is wide and high.
The fireplace is built about three feet from the ground. The fire is made from coal. There is a bellows at the back of the fireplace. It is made from a big piece of leather shaped like a box. There is stick used for a handle. It is held up by two(continues on next page)- Collector
