    About fifty years ago thee lived a man named Michael Henry in the townland of Gurteen with his wife Cathrine.

When she saw him coming towards her she dropped the stocking and he picked it up and brought it home and as his wife was not yet up he threw it up in the loft and when his wife got up he forgot it. After a time they went making a churning and more that usual amount of butter, the next time they could hardly lift the churn-dash and then he thought of the stocking and she told him to leave it where he got it and the next time they had the usual amount
