    coming up from the stables about ten o'clock after milking the cows. It was about six years ago. He could hear great talking and shouting and fighting in a field opposite our house. He listened for about a quarter of an hour and he could hear loud banging on the door of the house opposite ours.
    An old woman in that house died a while after that, and the occupants never heard the loud knocking at all.
    I heard numbers (1) (2) (5) (6) from my father, and I heard the rest from Michael Jordan. They live in Knockbrack, in the parish of Annagh, Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo.
