- We have a churn at home. It is about three feet in height. It is a foot and a half in the top and two feet in the bottom. The sides of it is round. It is eight years old. The various parts of the churn are the churn-dash and the claibin. There is no mark on the side or bottom of the churn. Butter is made once a week in Winter and twice in Summer time. My mother and my Sister make the churning.
Sometimes if strangers come in during the churning they help with the work. It is believed that if the person did not help with the churning they would bring the butter with them. The churning takes about(continues on next page)- Collector
