- If the sun sets red there will be fine weather and frost but if it sets pale red it is the sign of rain. When the moon lies on its back it is said there will be rain, if the sky is dark and the clouds are low there will be bad weather. A rainbow in the morning is the sign of rain but if its seen in the evening it indicates fine weather.
