- The most common birds in my district are the wren, finch, chaffinch, greenfinch, hedge-sparrow, thrush, blackbird, Jackdaw, Lark, yellow-hammer, bullfinch, green-linet, crow, water-wagtail, crow and the robin.
In the thatch in chimneys and in the ivy walls, many birds take up their residence. On the higher parts of the roof, especially around the chimneys the starlings make their nests, and in the early Summer they are continuously flying to and from their young who never cease crying for food the whole day through.(continues on next page)- Collector
