- The Tinkers, Pedlars and the Beggars are the traveling folk that come to our district. very seldom the Gipsies come.
The most common of all the travelling folk are the tinkers. They come in vans drawn by asses. Here and there in the side of roads or near a wood they make their camp. They only stay a day or two in some places and in other places a week or so. The men make tin saucepans mend pots, pans and kettles. The women sell all kinds of tin utensils.
