- The most common herbs in our farm at home are, Slacrán, Aineach, Samsog, Dock, thistle, cocksfoot, hemlock, comphrey, and nettles.
All these herbs are more or less harmful to the land, as they spread rapidly, and impoverish the soil by taking away all the moisture. The samsog does harm to the potato crop. The weeds grow much faster than the crop itself, and if they are not wed they will destroy the crop.(continues on next page)- Collector
