    In this district the cross day of the year is not known, burt the odd day of the year is known. It occurs on the 28th of December, it is believed that this is a very unlucky day for marriages.
    On New Years day it is not right to spend any money, or if so you will be spending for the coming year. On St. Brigids day 1st of February it is an old custom among the young boys to dress up, and go round to the houses to gather money, these are called "brideogs"
