    had not. When the tenant needed stock, it was the custom for the landlord to give him whatever stock he needed.
    Tithes were collected by the landlords agents for the landlord. They also had to pay Church rate to keep the Protestant Churches in repair. If the people were not willing to pay tithes, their cows, furniture, blankets and bed were seized by the agents.
