    The tailor uses a number of implements such as a measuring tape, scissors, needles, iron, sewing machine, lapboard, and a smoothing iron and he has also a big table which he uses for ironing and cutting out.
    Wool is very seldom spun in this district at the present day, but long ago every woman spun her own wool and knitted stockings, shirts and jersies, and children's clothes.
