    gloves. they had an old saying "Married in blue, Sure to be true."
    When they were married all would leave the chapel together for home and would go on a hasting gallop commonly known as "Haste to the wedding."
    They had an old superstition that which ever party arrived home first would survive the other.
    When they arrived home the bride was met at the door with an oat cake on a churn dash which was broken on her head before she entered the house.
