    on sea suffer greatly especially on the west coast of Ireland as it is generally stormy.
    Many lives were lost also. But some storms stand out as being beyond all others in severity.
    In eighteen thirty nine there was a very big storm commonly known as "The Big Wind".
    Many damages were done both on sea and land in that year. Fish were blown out of the sea and were to be seen in streams and on the land miles away from the sea but they were all dead.
    In about 1903 there was a great storm in Dublin which caused a lot of confusion
