    In some places the robin is said to bring bad luck if he comes looking for crumbs.
    Though we are proud of "The Green and proud of the title Emerald Isle" still we regard green as being the most unlucky of all colours.
    Modern Miss who wishes to show her superiority to all this superstitious rot can flaunt her disdain in no better way than to appear on her wedding day dressed in green.
    There are some who may admire her nerve, but very few will follow her example.
    It is also supposed that the present of gloves from a young man to his sweetheart will not bring the lady luck.
