    When the smoke goes up straight from the chimney. It is a sign of rain.
    When the dog eats grass. It is a sign of rain.
    When the dust whirls up on the road. It is a sign of rain.
    When the cat scrapes the table it is a sign of a storm.
    When the soot falls from the chimney it is a sign of rain.
    It is a sign of rain when the curlews give a double whistle and when they give a single whistle it is a sign of fine weather.
