- About fifty years ago when some men were draining a lake in Frank Harrison's land of Carrowbeg, they found in it the head and horns of a reindeer. They gave it to Mr Henry Doran of Tavrane House Kilkelly Mayo and he got it mounted.Strange Horse.
Once upon a time when there were very few horses in this locality, a water horse appeared in the field of a certain man in Waterside Kilkelly Co Mayo.
