    would squirt water a long distance. Boys also used to make cradle-birds. First of all they would get a basket and put it standing on its side then they would put a stick holding it up and they would have a long tape on the stick. Then they would put oats under the basket and take the tape and go into the house. When the birds would come to eat the oats they would pull the tape and the basket would fall down on the birds.
