- (continued from previous page)Robin is liked very much in this country because when Our Lord was dying on the on the cross a little Robin passed by and he saw Our Lord and he tried to pull a nail out of Our Lord’s head and a drop of blood fell on the Robin’s breast and that is how he got his red breast. The Swallows come to this country in April and they stay in this country until September. The people say if the swallows fly it is the sign of fine weather and if they fly low it is the sign of rain.
