  1. The Jordans
    When the Normans came over to Ireland many families came with them. Among them were, the Jordans and the Bourks, who lived in the district of Kiltimagh. The Jordans lived in Thornhill and Rosslevin Castle. When Humbert went into Castlebar to win it back from the English, Richard Jordan gave Humbert valuable [?] He gathered a large [crowd?] of pikemenfor him. When he had Castlebar freed he went to Ballinamuck where the English defeated them afterwards.
