- Long ago there was a man named Rory O'Higgins and he was a great runner. No man could beat him. He used to catch rabbits very quickly and was a splendid weight-thrower. On a Sunday evening a number of the neighbouring boys would gather in a field and try to beat him but none of them could come near his mark. This happened 40 years ago. This story was told to me by Michael McKewon, Aughaliska.
