    In the village of Rawbawn, a townland situated half way between Swinford and Kinaffe and about a mile to the east of Swinford Kiltimagh road, there is a good sized barn where Mass was celebrated for many years. The last priest who said Mass in it was a Friar named Lavin who was born there about 156 years ago. His relations are still there but only the ruins of the above mentioned barn remain. It then belonged to a man of the name of Conlon, but now its present owner is a Martin Loftus who supplied me with the information.
    The Friar was an uncle to Mrs Doherty's grandmother. he was ordained a Priest when Mrs Doherty's father was a boy 106 years
