  1. On the mountain side of the cemetery in the village of Kilgarvin there was once a blessed well named "Tobar Bhrianán".
The well is still to be seen surrounded by a mortar wall and there are three steps leading down to the well.
In olden times this was one of the most famous wells in Connaught.
People from various parts of the country visited this well and performed stations there, but the prayers in connection with the stations are not now to be had.
The well got its name from a saint named "Brianín" who lived in a little house near the well.
In the ruins of the little hut there is a large flag to be still seen.
