  1. (continued from previous page)
But still they are often beaten
    By the little mountain hare
    When the winter is gone
    and spring comes in
You will hear it borne on the gale,
The lovely sound of horn and hound
    Echoing through the vale
The old man throws his crutch aside
The old woman leaves her wheel
    And loudly cheers the huntsman
As he dashes up the vale.
When the day of sport is over
And the night is coming on
You will see them all returning home
Just as the day is done
They have the old man's blessing,
he says it makes him young
To enjoy the Old Age Pension
For many a day to come.
