    under them but to fill them with straw and tighten them with a sugán on the top and sit on them. They were made usually for old women to sit on them.
    The creepys were little wooden stools with two legs under them. They were made for little children to sit on. It is about sixty years since my uncle Thomas saw the last noggins. It was in the house he saw it. They are all broken now.
    The noggins were made by a cooper, Malley from Clareisland. When the churning was made they used lift the butter and salt it in a crock and tie a white cloth around the top of it.
