There is a lios in Mr Thomas Ruddy's land. There are a lot of stones in it.
There was once a man living near that lios and he was preparing a mare for the races. He was very anxious to wind, and the night before the races a small man came to the stable and told him to go to the lios at twelve oclock that night and cut a rod, and leave the rod at the lios.
He also told him that he himself would ride the mare and if he saw him strike the mare with the rod he would win. He did win the race.
